Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 10 <br /> September 28, 1998 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Dgl2il=ent of the Army re: Cranhgrry Bogs: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the Otis ANG MP <br /> Project document for the purpose of conveying Negative (Restrictive) <br /> Easement over the cranberry bogs subject to Town Counsel's final <br /> review and approval. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Caffyn in opposition. <br /> For the record, Selectman Caffyn indicated that the Board was in receipt of <br /> the information relative to the above topic on September 14, 1998. <br /> Department of the Air Force re: Briarwood Monitoring Wells: <br /> Representatives from Jacobs Engineering were present to request the <br /> Board's approval to close one lane of traffic and to temporarily re-route <br /> traffic on Hooppole Road for the installation of monitoring wells in <br /> Briarwood. <br /> Correspondence was received from the Chief of Police,Fire Chief and <br /> Director of Public Works in approval of the traffic detour plans. It was noted <br /> that access will be available for residents only. <br /> If approved by the Board,the project is expected to commence on <br /> September 21, 1998. The aggressive schedule is anticipated to be completed <br /> on October 16, 1998. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to approve the request of Jacobs <br /> Engineering to close Hooppole Road from the Highland Street <br /> intersection to the Pinecrest Avenue intersection of Hooppole Road. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
