Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 4 <br /> October 19, 1998 <br /> Meeting re-convened: 6:28 p.m. <br /> CO MMUNICATIONSAND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> November 14r 1998- Special Election Presentation, out <br /> Mr. Whritenour presented a Special Election presentation board <br /> to the Selectmen for review. Information relative to the history of the <br /> Belcher property, locus map and aerial photography was contained in the <br /> presentation for citizen review. Copies will be placed in the Town Hall, <br /> the Library and Post Office. <br /> Signalization-Old Barnstable Road: <br /> Selectman Caffyn related concern with respect to correspondence <br /> received from the DPW Director relative to the delay of the installation of <br /> the traffic signal in the area of the high school. <br /> Selectman Taylor indicated that he responded to this matter. Representative <br /> Cahir was instrumental to place the project back on course. Confirmation. <br /> is expected to be received from the.Massachusetts Highway Department to <br /> keep the project on line to commence this fall informed Selectman Taylor. <br /> Letter of Support-Town of Bourne re: ,Upper CapcPParkiiig; <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to send a letter of support to the Town of <br /> Bourne for parking considerations relative to the Steamship Authority transport. <br /> Barnstable County Jail Sites: <br /> The Board agreed to send a letter to Trudy Coxe in support of proposal <br /> A&B as potential sites for the future correctional facility. The Board will also <br /> express concern to not locate this type of institute near any residential area. <br /> Boa,W of Health r rnf o 1 -T <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to schedule the Board of Health as an agenda <br /> topic to discuss the closure of the Transfer Station. <br />
