Gildea to erect a 4x5' sign in a portion of the layout of Great Neck <br /> Road South. <br /> The applicant was not present. Selectman Marsters continued the hearing. <br /> CON MfNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCES <br /> Paving-Great Nock Road South: <br /> Work is scheduled to commence on Thursday,November 5, 1998. <br /> Pm ear Tax Relief Pro,gom, <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to place the above topic of discussion <br /> on the Selectmen's Agenda under New Business. j <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous 5-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Proposal for Police Cadet Prog <br /> William C. Przybylek, Chief of Police was present to discuss his memo of <br /> September 21, 998 relative to modified proposals for the Police Department <br /> Cadet Program. <br /> Chief Przybylek indicated that the Cadet Program is intended to provide an <br /> opportunity for residents without any previous experience or training, to pursue <br /> a career in law enforcement. The program has been modified to provide <br /> opportunities for interested residents 24 years and older. It was noted that the <br /> modification to authorize "Senior Cadets"'may require Special Legislation. <br /> The current eligibility list of candidates who have had previous academy training <br /> has been exhausted informed Chief Przybylek. <br />
