Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 5 <br /> November 2, 1998 <br /> APPM MENTS AND HEARINCF,S. <br /> Public H -Mark Gildea for Signn Town EE=M:, (continued) <br /> Correspondence was received from the Director of Public Works dated <br /> October 27, I998 relative to the sign to be located at 33 Great Neck Road <br /> South. Mr. Taylor has approved the placement of the sign in the right-of-way. <br /> The Town is developing plans for a bikeway/sidewalk that may require <br /> relocation of the sign at a future date. The applicant should be aware that a <br /> relocation due to additional road work or sidewalks may be required. <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the Public Hearing to obtain comment. Being <br /> none, he requested a vote from the Board to close the hearing. <br /> Motion evade by Selectman Caffyn to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectmen Leveille. <br /> YQTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the request of <br /> Mark C. Gildea to erect a 4x5' sign in a portion of the layout of <br /> Great Neck Road South. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> None at this time. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Pmposal f r P li : (continued) <br /> Selectman Caffyn indicated that the Selectmen discussed this matter <br /> several months ago and requested the Chief develop policy to give <br /> strong consideration to year round residents for the Police Cadet Program. <br /> Residents who have taken the exam and achieved a score of 75%or better <br /> are highly qualified citizens and should be considered as candidates for <br /> the program stated Selectman Caffyn in concern. <br />
