Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes 7 <br /> November 30, 1998 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS. <br /> Public Hag-Mashpee Shores_Road_CQnversion. (continued) <br /> Mashpee Shores resident,Peter Kahler urged the road conversion project <br /> to move forward to solve the existing drainage problems that are beginning <br /> to degrade the road. <br /> Peter Goulet related concern to the runoff into the river as did Bill Murray <br /> of Redwood Circle who noted that the present drainage is inadequate. <br /> Janice Mills also favored the road conversion and suggested the neighborhood <br /> prepare a second petition for the taking. It was noted that the deadline for <br /> a May Town Meeting warrant article is February 8, 1999. <br /> Greg Taylor,Director of Public Works discussed the construction process <br /> with interested residents. As noted, after May Town Meeting voter approval <br /> funding would be available after the date of July 1, 1999. <br /> Mr. Taylor also indicated that the betterment is expected to be paid over a <br /> twenty year period. The maximum amount is $4,229 per parcel. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to agree with the road conversion process <br /> as described. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> ADJOURNMENT_ <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to adjourn at 7:50 p.m. <br /> The Board will enter into Executive Session at this time for the <br /> purpose of discussing the acquisition of real property and potential <br /> litigation issues. The Board will not reconvene in Open Session. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: Kenneth,yes Curtis, yes <br /> Wayne,yes David, yes <br />
