V BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION MONDAY, MARCH 26,. 1990 PAGE FIVE NEW BUSINESS 6. STEP INCREASE - Mrs. Jacobson moved to approve a step increase for Firefighter Kevin Long to be effective March 1711 1990. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. All were in favor. 7. CAPE COD COMMISSION APPOINTMENT - Mr. Lawrence moved to appoint Carol Jacobson as representative to the Cape Corgi Commission on a transitional -basis. Mr. Carter seconded the motion and Mr. Gottlieb was in favor. Mrs . Jacobson abstained. 8. DISCUSSION OF ANNUAL/SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANTS - The Board discussed various articles to be placed on both the Annual and Special Town Meeting Warrants. Mrs . Jacobson moved to include article #3 - "To see if the Town will request the voters of the Town, acting under the provisions of Chapter .782 of the Acts of 1981 , as amended, Proposition 2 1/2 so called, to be submitted to them at a subsequent election" (ballot date to be set for Saturday, May 12 , 1990) . Mr. Carter seconded the motion. All were in favor. There was a question relative to the amendment of the Personnel Administration Plan and the 4% cost of living increase - through step or cost of living? It was agreed that the issue would be brought up at a meeting to be held with the Finance Committee later in the week. Mr. Carter moved not to include article 11 "To see if the Town will vote to create the position of Management Information System Manager" . Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. All were in favor. The Board voted unanimously to include articles 33 , 34 and 35 on the warrant for the Special Town Meeting - #33 "To see if the- Town will vote to accept the provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 148, Section 261 , rules governing the installation of fire suppression sprinklers in certain new multi-family dwellings. "
