BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, MAY 21 , 1990 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Carter, Jacobson, Hanson , Gottlieb, Executive <br /> Secr_eta7y Kevin Harrington, Town Counsel Joseph Reardon <br /> GUESTS: John Doane, Ernie Virgilio, Commissioner Kendall , Morris <br /> Kirsner, Nicholas Vontzalides, Mark Cullinan <br /> The meeting convened at 7 :00 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Mr. Hanson moved to accept the Regular and Executive Session minutes <br /> of April 23, 1990 and April 30, 1990. Mrs. Jacobson seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 1 . CAPE COD MOSQUITO CONTROL - Mr. John Doane attended to <br /> discuss with the Board budget issues relative to the Cape <br /> Cod Mosquito Control Project. Mr. Doane stated that an <br /> increase to the Town of Mashpee for the project would be <br /> $7, 500. This would be an assessment from the State on the <br /> Town' s cherry sheets. <br /> The Project would have to reduce their work force by five <br /> people. Therefore, Mr. Doane stated that they are looking <br /> for the support from the towns so that they may approach. <br /> the legislature to increase the budget. <br /> Mr . Hanson asked how much time and money the Cape Cod <br /> Mosquito Control Project spent in Mashpee last year. Mr. <br /> Doane indicated that records of hours In each town are not <br /> kept. Field crews are out on a continuous basis, with time <br /> spent being determined by the severity of a problem in the <br /> town. Out of the $586, 000 budget,. $29, 182 was Mashpee' s <br /> portion. <br /> Mr. Hanson Stated that he wi u l d not use 1 no l i net# to� Vote on <br /> the matter until he had further information relative to <br /> where Mashpee' s $29, 182 is being spent. <br />
