BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, JUNE 11 , 1990 <br /> PAGE FIVE <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 4. CAPE COD HOSPITAL -- TAG DAY -- Mr. Lawrence moved that the <br /> Cape Cod Hospital Aid Association be allowed to solicit <br /> funds on August 9, 1990 - Tag Day. Mr. Hanson seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> 5. CONSERVATION COMMISSION -- Mr. Hanson moved to accept the <br /> resignation of Joe Burns, full -time member and Edwin Beeby, <br /> associate member of the Conservation commission. Mr. <br /> Gottlieb seconded the motion. All were in favor. - <br /> Mr. Harrington was directed to post the positions for two <br /> weeks . <br /> 6. DEPUTY CHIEF COOPER - QUALITY CIRCLE - Deputy Chief Cooper <br /> was present to explain to the Board the Policy & Procedure <br /> Quality Circle. Chief Cooper stated that this was <br /> basically a form of employees participating in some of the <br /> management decision. Employees will meet to solve problems <br /> within their work environment. <br /> Mr., Gottlieb moved to approve Police Department Policy & <br /> Procedure - Quality Circle. Mr. Hanson seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> 7. USE OF FORCE POLICE (K-9) DOG - Deputy Chief Cooper <br /> explained that this general order was presented for the <br /> purpose of training police officers <br /> There was discussion relative to the Town' s liability if <br /> deadly force was used with a (k-9) dog. Since the dog will <br /> be owned by one of the police officers, rather than by the <br /> Town, the liability costs should be minimal . <br /> Mrs. Jacobson moved to approve the General Order relative <br /> to the Use of Force/Police (k-9) Dog; Less than Deadly. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> 8. UTILITY REQUEST - Mr. Hanson moved to accept Com Electric <br /> Plan #k9853. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. All were <br /> in favor. <br />
