r . <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, AUGUST 6, 1990 - REGULAR SESSION <br /> Present: Selectman Carter, Selectman Hanson, Selectman Lawrence, : <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, Selectman Jacobson, Executive <br /> Secretary, 'Kevin J. Harrington and Town Council, <br /> Joseph Reardon <br /> Guests: Dean Driscoll, Paul Ott, Ernest Virgilio, Jane Labute, <br /> 'Deputy Baker, Karen Fisher, Judith Barnett, 'Michael <br /> Forde, William. Ethier, Tony Fiorentini., Jim Vaccaro, <br /> Tony Gallo, Douglas Beecy and other Mashpee residents <br /> The Meeting was Called to Order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Carter. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb made the motion to accept the minutes of 6/25 <br /> and 7/9. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The Board votes <br /> in favor of the approval of past minutes. <br /> Selectman Jacobson questioned the enforcement regulations at Mashpee <br /> Commons. A survey is being taken and regulations will be enforced. <br /> The vote of approval from the Selectmen is unanimous. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND 'HEARINGS: <br /> Liquuor License Hearin: Karen K. Fisher d b a. 130 General Store: <br /> Selectman Lawrence has stepped down for this hearing. Applicant <br /> requests a seasonal all-alcoholic liquor license. Ms. Fisher states <br /> she- cannot have a delicatessen due to the water situation. <br /> Kevin Harrington has talked with ABCC and there are 3 licenses <br /> available at this time. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to grant Ms. Fisher the <br /> license. Selectman Jacobson made second the motion. The vote is <br /> unanimous with the four Selectmen, <br /> Acceptance of' Telephone Equipment Bids. for the Police Station Addition: <br /> Sargent Ethier recommends to award the bid to Cape-Wide Telephone <br /> for the sum of $12, 260.00. They are a subsidiary of AT&T and the low <br /> bidder. The option was given for refurbished equipment in the bid proces <br /> Mr. Ethier says the money is existing in the budget and would like <br /> the Selectmen to formally approve the bid. <br /> Selectman Jacobson made the motion to accept Cape--Wide. Select- <br /> man Hanson made second the motion. The vote is unanimous. <br /> Memo from the. DPW - Removal of Concrete: <br /> Mr. Virgilio would like to dispose of the excess concrete from the <br /> new. Police Station building location. He would like to bury and fill <br /> in the old firing rang. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb made the motion to approve this request. <br /> Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The vote of the Selectmen <br /> is unanimous. <br />
