The DPW would 'like to erect a split rail fence with gates and control the opening and closing of the gates. Appointment of Waterway Assistant: Selectman Jacobson made the motion to approve Mr. Steven Coe as Waterway Assistant. Selectman Gottlieb made second the motion. The vote is unanimous. Appointment . of Special Police Officers Sandwich Officers: Selectman Jacobson made the motion to approve the list of Sandwich Police Officers to serve as Mashpee Special Police Officers. Selectman Gottlieb seconded .-the motion. The vote is unanimous. Repeated : Vandalism - John' s Pond Park: Selectman,A rought to attention the repeated vandalism in John' s Pond Park. Individuals have been moving the rocks and $50. O0 fines have been issued. She would like the public informed that they cannot remove the rocks and cannot drive on the beach or they will. be fined. The Selectmen approve of this issue. Current Lease - New Building Inspector and Board of Health: Kevin Harrington notified the board that the current lease for the new building inspector and board of health has expired on 7/31. The lease may continue for one year with all terms remaining the same at Deer Crossing. Selectman Gottlieb made the motion to authorize the lease extension for one year. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote is unanimous with the board. Purchase of Dirt Bikes for Police Department: Chairman Carter recommended the Police Departmentpurchase two dirt bikes for police officers if the, funding is available. There is a definite need due to increased vandalism in the town. The police will determine the facts and figures for the board to' review. There is no objection from the Board of Selectmen.
