Selectman Carter, Selectman Hanson, Selectman Jacobson, <br /> Selectman Lawrence, Selectman Gottlieb <br /> Executive Secretary Kevin J. Harrington <br /> Town Council Joseph Reardon <br /> Guests: Finance Committee Members: James Vaccaro, Tony Gallo, <br /> Carl Heller, John Ferriday and Carole Dunivan <br /> Paul Ott, Elizabeth Petti, Anne Shaw, Ernie Virgilio <br /> and other Mashpee residents <br /> The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Carter at 6: 00 p.m. <br /> 6: 00 p.m. Continuance of Liquor 'License Hearin . Gone 'Tomatos: <br /> Chairman Carter noted Gone Tomato' s has withdrawn from this <br /> hearing. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to close the hearing. <br /> Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The Selectmen vote in favor <br /> of the motion. 3-1 It is noted Selectman Lawrence has stepped down <br /> for this vote, . <br /> Discussion Relevent to the Coombs School: <br /> A request was made by the Fire Department and Building Inspector' s <br /> Department for paved roadwork to be located behind the rear of the <br /> Coomb' s School to evacuate students during the winter months. <br /> Mr. Harrington has reviewed this situation with Dr. DeMoura, <br /> the Fire Dept. , Building Dept. , DPW and Chairman of the, School Building <br /> Committee. They have all agreed on this project request. <br /> Kevin Harrington states approximately $12, 000 will be required <br /> for this project. The money is available in the contingency fund and <br /> a change order is not necessary. <br /> Selectman Hanson agrees this is an ongoing concern. He has made <br /> the motion to approve the above roadwork not to exceed the sum of <br /> $13,000. Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion. The vote of the <br /> Selectmen is unanimous. <br /> 6: 05 p.m. Financial Articles: <br /> The purpose of this meeting states Chairman Carter is the <br /> discussion of the financial articles for warrant with the Finance <br /> Committee, Board of Selectmen and the general public in an open <br /> discussion. <br /> Kevin Harrington discussed some of the preliminary <br /> made by the Financial Policy Advisoryrecommendations <br /> Summary dated August of 1 Committee in the draft Executive <br /> 990. The committee has been researching <br /> revenue as to where the funds cote from and how they are spent. The <br /> numbers are preliminary, but give a good indication as to where we <br /> stand at this time. <br />
