The vote to construct and furnish a new Town Hall. <br /> Dr. Petti questions the timing of this project when the town <br /> is in debt. She feels the town should not borrow the money with <br /> out a capital outlay program. <br /> Selectman Hanson .states bids are due on the 5th and a complete <br /> figure should be determined by mid-September. When the renderings <br /> are completed, an informational packet will be available at the <br /> Post Office for the general public to view. A complete presentation <br /> will be made at the annual town meeting. <br /> John Ferriday noted article #50 about Locating the town hall <br /> on the property known •as Pine Tree Place. This is a petition article <br /> and they are handled at the end of the evening. At the Annual Town <br /> Meeting, the moderator could be asked to move the petition forward. <br /> Article 21-: <br /> Joe Reardon has recommended this article not go into warrant <br /> in this form. There is a typo error. Section 49 should read 4 G <br /> and this should be subject. .to the general laws of Chapter 30B. <br /> Article 22 : . <br /> Increase in hours of administrative clerk and job reclassification, <br /> The Board of Selectmen have decided to defer- any upgrades <br /> until the May Town Meeting. <br /> Mr. Harrington reports that Jane Stockbridge of the Personnel <br /> Board is reviewing all current PAP positions and job descriptions. <br /> The Selectmen agree to freeze all upgrading until they recieve the <br /> report. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb for a complete freeze <br /> on upgrading pending the recommendations from Ms. Stockbridge. <br /> Selectman Lawrence made second the motion. The vote of the Selectmen <br /> is unanimous. <br /> Anne Shaw has recommended the Board convey. the reason to Ms. <br /> Labutte. <br /> Mr. Vaccaro agrees with the Selectmen for the freeze on upgrading <br /> positions. He feels it is a difficult situation but it has to be <br /> addressed. <br /> Selectman Lawrence also states that we are trying to retain some <br /> of the people working here. If department heads continue to ask for <br /> increases in hours or persor�el, it may get to the point that we won' t be talking about new positions, but eliminating current positions. <br /> Article 22 and 23 are removed from the Warrant. <br />
