• A- BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1990 Present: Selectman Carter, Selectman Gottlieb, Selectman Hanson, Selectman Jacobson and Selectman Lawrence Executive Secretary Kevin J. Harrington Guests: Paul Ott, George Costa, Ernie Virgilio , Michael Campbell The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Carter at 7: 02 p.m. Selectman Gottlieb asked that the minutes be amended to reflect his presence at the meeting of September 4, 1990. The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to approve the minutes of September 4, 1990. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The Board in favor to approve the past minutes. APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS : Scallop Regulations: There are no changes from last year on the Mashpee Scallop Regula- tions. The crap report is about the same as last year. The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to accept the rules and regulations. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The vote of the Board is unanimous. Letter of Resignation from Town Hall Building Committee: A letter dated on September the third from Deidre Greelish reports her resignation from the Town Hall Building Committee. She also services the Finance Committee and feels it has a broader objective of respon- sibilities. She is resigning in accordance with the Mashpee Bylaw, Chapter 5. Selectman Gottlieb made the motion to approve the resignation of Deidre Greelish. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The Board votes in favor of the resignation ' in a unanimous vote. Letter of ResiEnation from the Board of Assessors: A letter dated on September the llth from Arthur Morley states his resignation from the Board of Assessors due to health reasons. The resignation will be effective on September 30, 1990. The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to approve the resignation of Arthur Morley. Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion. The Board votes in favor of the resignation in a unanimous vote. Selectman Lawrence feels this is a serious problem with the Board of Assessors with the loss of Mr. Morley. Board Assessor Robert DeLory has not been attending the meetings with the Board. Selectman Lawrence would like the Board to send Mr. DeLory a letter to state his intentions. His decisions are necessary to keep the Board running. This is a definite emergency situation. Kevin Harrington also feels there is an immediate need to draft a letter to Mr: DeLory of his intentions. The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to send a letter to Mr. DeLory with return reciept requested. Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion. The vote is unanimous. i i
