7 'BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 5 M XNU TES MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1990 Article #40: This article is for architectural services and capital projects for.. the Mashpee Senior Center. Kevin Harrington states ' $20, 000 has been anticipated. Selectman Jacobson would also like to consider- the Small Cities Grant and obtain information for the studies. The Friends of the Council on Aging favor the expansion and would like to be involved on the project. Selectman Jacobson is concerned with the money to be spent and the project getting off the ground. Selectman Gottlieb made the motion to not support the project at this time. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The Board .votes in favor of Selectman Gottlieb' s motion with Selectman Jacobson opposing. The vote is 4-1. Article #42: Selectman Gottlieb feels this article will not make sense if the consolidation passes, the position will no longer exist . The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to not support this article. Selectman Hanson seconded the motion. The Board votes in favor of his motion. 4-0. Selectman Lawrence did not vote on this topic . Article #43: Selectman Carter made the motion to not support the petition article for the new school architectural fees. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. Selectman Jacobson also votes in favor of this motion. -Selectman Gottlieb is opposed. Selectman Hanson did not vote on this subject matter. The vote is 3-1. Article #44: The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb not to support this article. Selectman Hanson seconded the motion. The Board votes in favor of his motion with Selectman Jacobson in opposition. The vote is 4-1. Special Ballot Election: The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to instruct the Town C1erk. to schedule the Special Election for October 20, 1990 regarding to the Town Hall and other related articles. Town Counsel has advised that Article #24 an be ammended outside of 'prop 2. for the Fire Departments architectural plans. The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to include Article #18, Article #24 and Article #43 in the Special Ballot Election. Selectman Hanson seconded the motion. The vote is unanimous with the .Board. Board Secretary Appointment: The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to appoint Susan Augusta as a Board Secretary substitute. Selectman Hanson seconded the motion. The Board votes unanimous. Being no' further business to discuss, Selectman Gottlieb made the motion for the Board to go into Executive Session to discuss collective bargaining involving the town. Selectman.
