BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 5 <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1990 <br /> Selectman Lawrence is .in opposition of Question #3. Re woes <br /> the state that returns the general court. During the primary, three <br /> representatives lost their seats in .the house and we are returning <br /> the same group of .politicians .back to the state that got, us into <br /> this mess. <br /> Selectman Lawrence believes Question #3 will be defeated at <br /> the polls. . He mentioned Barbara Anderson. stating we can make <br /> adjustments. Lawrence believes we will be. back to square 1. <br /> T.he motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to oppose #3. <br /> Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The : Board votes in favor <br /> of opposition. The vote is 4-0. <br /> Selectman Lawrence made the motion for the Board to support <br /> Question_ #5o He feels it is important to local. communitys. They <br /> deserve a. better share of the state' s money. Selectman Jacobson <br /> seconded the motions.. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb is opposed to Question #5. He feels you <br /> cannot. set. a fiscal policy. The increase. is in local aid and the <br /> Cape does not do well on local. aid. <br /> Selectman Carter voted in favor of support to Question #5• <br /> The vote of the Selectmen is 3-1. <br /> Being no further business to discuss, Selectman Lawrence <br /> made the motion to adjourn.
