BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, NOVEMBER s, 1990 <br /> Present: Selectman Carter, Selectman Hanson, Selectman Jacobson <br /> and Selectman Lawrence <br /> Executive Secretary Kevin J. Harrington <br /> Absent: Selectman Gottlieb <br /> Guests: Paul Ott, Jim Vaccaro, Doug Boyd, Deputy George Baker <br /> The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Carter at 7: 00 P.M. <br /> Selectman Lawrence made the motion to approve the minutes of <br /> October 29, 1990. Selectman Hanson seconded the motion. The Board <br /> votes in favor to approve the past minutes. <br /> MeetinZ with South Cape Beach and 'DEM: <br /> The meeting with South Cape Beach and DEM has been postponed <br /> until Monday, November 19, 1990. <br /> Chairman Carter has asked Kevin Harrington to prepare a summary <br /> for the Selectmen to review as to where we stand with South Cape <br /> Beach and DEM before the next scheduled meeting, <br /> Selectman Lawrence agrees with Selectman Carter to obtain more <br /> information before the meeting on the 19th of November. <br /> Approval of Step Increase for Varden Kelley and Patricia Hicks: <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Hanson to approve the step <br /> increases for Varden Kelley and Patricia Hicks. <br /> Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The Board votes in <br /> a unanimous decision to approve the step increases. <br /> Appointment of Provisional Firefighter/EMT: <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to appoint Steven <br /> Cashman as Provisional Firefighter/EMT. <br /> Selectman Hanson seconded the motion. The Board votes in a <br /> unanimous decision to approve the appointment to the Fire and Rescue <br /> Department. <br /> Communication from the Prudential/Regan Realt <br /> Selectman Carter recieved a letter of complaint regarding tempor- <br /> ary open house. signs that was discussed with the Board and Building <br /> Inspector. <br /> Mr. Boyd has replied that open house signs are allowed only on <br /> the owners property with the open house. It has been the town' s <br /> policy to pick up these signs that are in violation of the town bylaw. <br /> Under the bylaw, the town or state may put up temporary signs. <br /> Selectman Carter has asked Mr. Boyd to review the bylaw to make <br /> modifications for special permits. <br />
