Upon
agreement, DEM should release $620, 000 to be paid to the treasury of
the Town of Mashpee for the roadwork.
Mr. Kirsner reports the South Cape Beach Advisory Committee is
in agreement with the new town beach with the exception of whether or
not the Board of Selectmen insist the twenty-five spaces on the current
town beach are to be used by the townspeople until the area is eroded .
or re-graded and converted into a dune area until completion in Sept-
ember of 1992. Once the conversion has taken place in 1992, there
will be no spaces available for parking. This is the recommendation
of the Advisory Committee and DEM.
Mark Cullinan has reported that DEM has not agreed that there
are .two separate issues. They are in agreement 99% concerning the
road issue, but would like to be 100% firm in the agreement with both
Counsels involved. This is provided the agreement is resolved with
the town beach parking issue.
Mr. Kirsneri:es unaware of these dealings with DEM.
