4 BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 4 MINUTES MONDAY, DECEMBER 17, . 1990 Order of Taking - Assessment Estimate of Betterment: The roads authorized at the Annual Fall Town Meeting for Taking include; Santuit Pond Rd, Briar Patch Ln, Bayberry Dr, Deer Ridge Rd, Deerfield Circle, Edgewater Rd, Mayflower Rd and Cranberry Lane. The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to execute the Order of Taking for the above named roads in Mashpee and the estimate of betterment therein. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The Board votes in a unanimous decision to approve the Order of Faking and Betterment of the above named roads. South Cape Beach Advisory Meeting: Morris Kirsner reports that the Advisory Committee feels the agreement represents a balance. They have recommended the terms of the .agreement be changed. from the five year period to three years. Under the terms of the agreement, the new town beach facility should be built by December 31, 1991. DEM is confident with the completion date. DEM would like the agreement date to be no the than 1995. The bond is in existance for the funding of Great Oak Road. The Advisory Committee feels three years is more than adequate time to exercise the option. The longer the town has to exercise the option, the more time for changes within the administration. . Mr. Kirsner complimented Mr. Reardon for acknowledging the ten acre site. DEM will persue obligations under the ten acre site and approve the access road. . With the next few years, ten acres will be open with a waterview and access. Concerning the few minor .changes to Great Oak. Road as proposed by Mr. Harrington and Mr. Virgilio, Mr. Kirsner has prepared an agreement relative to Great Oak Road subject to Mr. Reardon' s final opinion. At the next scheduled meeting on Thursday, December the 27th, the Board will execute the agreement concerning South Cape Beach. Selectman Gottlieb has recommended that motion #3 be used to reflect the agreement. He has made the motion for the Board to support motion #3. Selectman Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote of the Board is unanimous. The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to remain with the five year agreement. . Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The decision of the Board is unanimous. Being no . further business to discuss, the motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to adjourn the meeting to attend the Special Town Meeting. Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The Board votes in favor of adjournment at 7122 p.m.
