Design Review --2- February 25, 1998
4. The Woman's Body ShopperInc, Route 130. Site Plan Review
Atty. Patrick Butler, representing the owners, proposed
minor changes from the previous plan including a slightly reduced
parking area. Landscaping and building appearances were
discussed at length.
Flowered window boxes and awnings over the windows are planned.
A buffer between Route 130 and the building will be maintained.
Trees of a 3" caliber such as red maples and pin oaks, will be
planted out front, two in each median, and one at each end of the
building. Some of the existing woodland will remain, and a
buffer will be created between lots.
The type of building materials were discussed. Because the road
is a gateway to the community, it was suggested a wood--like
appearance be used, rather than steel. Mr. Hughes agreed to
bring samples of alternative textures to the next meeting.
S. Mashpee Marketplace Nominee Trust, 400 Nathan Ellis Highway
Messrs. Barrett and Grotzke presented preliminary plans showing
eight retail units located on the corner of Route 151 and
Algonquin Avenue, which is in the Commercial (C2) Zone. A joint
driveway is proposed off Rt. 151, 400 ft. from Algonquin Ave.
The driveway on Algonquin is only 75 ft. from Rt. 151—more
footage is required. It was suggested that Greg Taylor be
consulted regarding curb cuts.
Adjournment: 7 : 45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Jane A. Pierce,
Recording Secretary
