Design Review -2- March 24, 1999
Some of the block windows of the doors will be infilled for a more esthetic
appearance. Glass will be installed in the non-venting cupola.
Colors: The building will be Cape Cod gray with white trim and black roof shingles.
The sign on the building will be back lit, with white embossed letters, with no red.
Jiffy Lube will work with the state on the curb cut.
Mary LeBlanc joined the meeting at 7:03 p.m. at which time detailed landscaping
was discussed. Important issues were addressed: the swale will be eliminated,
buffers will be maintained between property owners, five evergreens will be planted
at the rear at the top of the swale and staggered along the slope. It was strongly
suggested that none of the areas be unkempt. Plantings of various species were
suggested. Maples and evergreens will be planted in the rear, Norways will appear
throughout. A marked-up landscaping plan will be available at the Building
Department.
Synopsis
• Bring queue lines over, indicate lines to keep cars single file
• Door changes will include infill
• Lighting will be down lighting
• Front sign will be illuminated from above
• Carry grass around and spinkle it
• Holding tank for work area, tight tank & floor drains
• Washing-of-hands water goes into 200-gallon water tank and
oil separator, fast system, denitrofication system
• Sign on front of building will be back lit, no red color.
• Wood-carved sign on entryway will be canopy lit; size to be reduced to 20 sq.ft.
• Black roof, Cape Cod gray building with white trim
• Non-venting cupola
Adjournment: 7:22 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Jane A.
