TOWN OF MASHPEE
DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING
April 12, 2000
The Design Review Committee met at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2000 in
Room 3 of Mashpee Town Hall.
Committee Members Present: William Hauck, Ex Officio; Thomas F. O'Hara,
Mary LeBlanc, Martine Meijering, and Walter Yarosh.
1. Brickyard Marketplace, 439 Nathan Ellis Highway - Sign
Mike Day of Day Sign Co. displayed plans for a 40 sq. ft. sign to be located at
Brickyard Marketplace. It is a multi-ladder design with each store having its own
V x 3' logo. Each sign could be a different color; the backs will be the same.
The darker green color will be used at the top. Lighting will not reflect through or
under the sign.
2. Dunkin' Donuts, Route 130 — Sign
It was noted the Minutes of February 10, 1999 state: "The background will be white
with gold lettering." Mr. Day stated he had not been informed of that color
combination. The colors used are the corporation logo colors. The consensus was
the sign should be approved as it currently exists. No color change is necessary.
The plan will be re-submitted showing what has been installed.
i
3. Vacuums & Accessories, Unit D14, 681 Falmouth Road — Sign
Mr. Day proposed a non-lit roof sign for this location at Deer Crossing where other
roof signs exist. The white background did not meet with approval. It was
requested the sign be more interesting; perhaps a gray background should be used
with red lettering. Cranberry and gray background was suggested. It was also
recommended the border be wider and colored black rather than blue.
It was pointed out an upstairs tenant may wish to install a roof sign in.the future.
Mr. Day agreed to use the gray background. The plan was approved with above-
mentioned changes.
