Town 0f Mas pee
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, Massachusetts 0264.9
DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF JANUARY 10, 2001
The Design Review Committee met at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10,
2001 in Mashpee Town Hall.
Committee members present: Walter Yarosh; Thomas F. O'Hara; Mary LeBlanc;
Edward Govoni, Bob Nelson. Also present: Russ Wheeler.
Signs
1. Mashpee High School — 500 Old Barnstable Road
A proposed Mashpee High School signed to be donated by the Senior Class. The
sign is one-sided in design. There is no site plan as of yet. The committee
advises that the sign cannot be sited on a state highway, but must be set 5' back
from property line. Also, a high school event informational marquee sign is
proposed in the same general area. Mashpee High School will need the
permission from the Town Selectmen for this. The proponent will return to the
committee with further site plan information.
2. Porcelli's — 439 Nathan Ellis Highway
Proposed 20' sq. ft. I.D. sign for the pizza shop. A photo depiction is presented
to the committee. The lighting for sign will be indirect. Although the graphics
may not read well, the committee feels there is no problem with sign.
