Mashpee Design Review Committee
Minutes of Meeting Held Wednesday, February 04, 2004
Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3
Committee Members Present: Walter Yarosh, Thomas O'Hara, and Mary LeBlanc
Present: Russell Wheeler
Summary
Plymouth Savings Bank, Route 281Shellback Way—To return with revised
plans.
Cape & Islands Home, 129 industrial Drive—To return with revised plans.
. 71 Main Street, Mike Robbins, accessory apartment—To return with revised
plans.
Meetings are to be scheduled for 8:30 a.m. but members will be in at 8:00
a.m. to look over plans or address concerns.
Tom O'Hara called the meeting to order at 8.20 a.m.
Site Plan and Landscape Review
Noah Greenberg Associates, Architects
Charles Rowley & Associates, Engineers
Andrew R. Garulay, Landscape Architect
Plymouth Savings Bank
The existing bank has 1,448 square feet on the first floor and 686 square feet on the
second floor. The addition adds 1,128 square feet. Plus there is a separate building with
a total of 2,500 square feet of space, 1,250 on the firs4floor. At the present time there are
17 parking spaces, they plan a total of 21 with the new addition. The plans calls for new
sidewalks, new employee lounge and to relocate the handicap ramp. The new color will
be white/creamy.
Some pines to be removed along Route 28 for grading, variances required from Route 28,
other variances required of neighbors.
Plans will remove parking spaces from True Value/Deer Crossing. Deer Crossing is a
separate entity from the Bank. The committee would like to see the parking count for
Deer Crossing.
The concrete sidewalk to separate two drive aisles, aesthetically doesn't work. A one-
way exit from the bank is right next to entrance to separate building; lots of congestion
will be created.
The crosswalk across drive thru is ok.
