J. Prescott Inc.
Landscape plan review
Robert Lawton addressed the meeting stating that he has problems implementing the landscape plan that was
approved because the Water District does not allow outside watering. He said they have no way of hooking up
the water on that property. Design Review said others in this situation have sunk a well for water supply. In
addition,Mary mentioned that the plantings shown on the first plan he submitted are plantings that once
established would not need a sprinkler system. Mary also pointed out that the revised landscape plan he
submitted and which was approved shows plantings that require water. Therefore, the first landscape plan is
better if he is not going to sink a well. Mr. Lawton showed photos of the immediate area and said he thought he
was being asked to do landscaping beyond what others are doing, but he was reminded that in his plan the
purpose was intended to screen out all the pipe he was stacking on the property. Mary noted that his first
landscape plan will work for him because after watering the plantings the first year or two, then the plants will
survive. Pat White of the Building Department is to check which plan the Board of Appeals approved—namely
Plan to have one or two entrances?
Conclusion: Approved 1/16/02 Plan(first plan submitted)as revised 515105.
