Site Plan and Landscape Review
Wags Road,Dry Harbor Enterprises
Plan Change original plans denied
Boat Storage "
Kevin Kirrane
Kevin Kirrane addressed the committee stating that at the last meeting there was a question raised relative to
interpretation of language that was in the Pyrotech Engineer's report and concern having to build a fence that
was the height of the boats. Mr. Kirrane said he believes it has been clarified by the 5/25/05 letter from
Pyrotech Consultants which clarifies the fact that the .fire retardant material to be used need be only as high as
the fence, which is to be 6 feet high.
Following are highlights of the discussion held:
• Kevin Kirrane advised that NStar has to issue final approval.
• Design Review requires that they receive a letter from the Fire Chief indicating Fire Department
approval.
• Corrugated metal fence will be at 8 foot border as noted and approved on Landscape Plan.
• Open chain fence will be on buffer and landscaping will be outside the fence
• Revised Plan to go to ZBA.
Conclusions:
1. Approved subject to Fire Department approval. Letter to Design Review from Fire Chief
indicating Fire Department approval needed.
2. Landscape Plan approved as noted.
11 Cape Drive
Addition to Office Building
Kevin Kirrane
Attorney Kevin Kirrane, John Slavinsky(Engineer), Geoff Willis and Jean Willis were present. Kevin Kirrane
showed the site Plan. Essentially they are duplicating the existing building to the rear. Kevin Kirrane noted
they would be going to the ZBA for Special Permit. Following points were discussed:
• Walter Yarosh advised he did walk the site and cautioned that they be careful to keep the tree buffer that
is there since it is buffer between the building and the restaurant.
• One of the issues on Cape Drive is the water that comes in; they're putting in 2 more catch basins.
• Signage looks nice.
• Landscape Plan—suggest they look at planting some vegetation in front of the wall, but up to applicant.
Not requested by Design Review.
Conclusion: Site Plan approved; Landscape Plan approved with suggestion they consider putting some
vegetation in front of the wall; and Building Plan approved.
