Mashpee Design Review Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday,August 11,2005 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 <br /> Committee Members Present: Walter Yarosh, Thomas O'Hara,Lee Gurney,Robert Nelson,Mary LeBlanc, <br /> and Charlie Maintanis, Jr. (Assistant Building Inspector). <br /> Summary <br /> • La Plaza Del Sol Motel—Not approved—Sign does not conform and is not on Motel land. <br /> • 340 and 342 Main Street—No proposal submitted. Architect Steven Hayes said he was approaching <br /> Design Review to get comments from Design Review on the general concept for placing 2 commercial <br /> buildings on the lot abutting the 334 Main Street McShane project. They will then proceed with <br /> preparing a proposal should they decide to go forward. Bob Nelson advised that at last night's meeting <br /> ZBA turned down this abutting complex. <br /> i <br /> Walter Yarosh, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. <br /> Suns <br /> 78 Main Street <br /> La Plaza Del Sol Motel <br /> Navin and Arvind Patel appeared. Navin Patel explained that this is the third season they are here and they <br /> didn't realize they couldn't put up a sign without getting approval. They placed a sign for their motel on <br /> adjacent property that they own, which property has a cottage they rent out for the season. The rules and <br /> procedures were discussed in detail and Navin Patel stated they will take down the illegal sign they currently <br /> have on the adjacent property and will consider how they wish to proceed. <br /> Conclusion: Not approved—Sign does not conform and is not on Motel land_ <br /> Site Plan and Landscape Review <br /> 340 and 342 Main Street <br /> Review of 2 Commercial Buildings <br /> No proposal submitted.
