Torn O'Hara
pointed out that the building is in a residential area and the sign looks like a billboard. The sign is 4' X 20' long.
Discussion then turned to the location of the ladder-type signage also being applied for. The sign cannot go where
indicated because that is the walkway/bike path areas. Suggestion by Design Review was why not make the ladder sign
read KenMark Office Park since another building to go on other side of same property. Bob Nelson pointed out that the
sign could go on other side and they'd have more placement choices. Mike Day asked for thoughts on building sign as
opposed to the roof. Tom O'Hara responded it would look better, but it is still over-kill. Mike Day then asked how
Design Review would feel about a monument-type sign. Consensus of Design Review Committee is that would look
better and Tom Jalowy said they could soften it with some landscaping. Tom Jalowy suggested that even if they want a
ladder sign they should have the sign blend in with landscaping.
Conclusion: Not Approved.
