They showed a site plan and Melinda Gallant pointed out that they are
going to have 6 retail cottages staggered across Joy Street. She said the reason they are"staggering"them is because
Sheldon Hamblin had raised concern about access so staggering them allows Fire Department access room. Following
information was also provided to the Committee:
• They are going to April 16 Planning Board public hearing to present plan. Tom Fudala added comment that the
reason they need the public hearing is because they need an actual modification to the Special Permit,Application.
• The retail cottages will be 6X8;bright Cape Cod colors; and there will be 6 of them staggered across Joy Street.
• Will promote local business, such as local artists, etc. who will use this means as a start-up for their small venture.
+ Cottages better than pushcarts.
• Season will be from May 15 until hopefully end of December.
• Management Office restrooms off Joy Street will be available.
• 20 AMP service provided to each cottage.
+ Cottages will be physically removed in wintertime and will be stored off-site by Shed Place.
• No food vendors right now.
+ They would like to bring one cottage to Joy Street site for one day to see how it looks.
Tom Fudala asked whether or not they called Cape Cod Commission. Melinda Gallant said she did call and left a phone
message, but no one called back yet. However, they commented they did not think it was necessary to go through Cape
Cod Commission.
The consensus of the Committee is that this looks like a great idea.
Approval of Minutes...The Minutes of March 13, 2008 were approved.
Meeting adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
Jae Giliberti
cording Secretary
