Minutes of Combined Meeting of A <br /> Mashpee Design Review Committee and <br /> Mashpee Plan Review Committee <br /> Held Thursday,June 12, 2008 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 1 <br /> Design Review Members Present: Richard Stevens. <br /> Plan Review Members Present: <br /> Richard Stevens,Building Inspector <br /> Sheldon Hamblin,Deputy Fire Chief <br /> Drew McManus, Conservation Agent <br /> Tom Fudala, Town Planner <br /> Joel Clifford--Fire Inspector <br /> Catherine Laurent,DPW Director <br /> Richard Stevens called the meeting to order at 9:07 a.m. <br /> 37 Cayuga Ave. <br /> Donna-Lee McMullen <br /> Accessary Apartment_ <br /> Donna-Lee McMullen appeared and said she has owned the house since 1985 and there has always been an <br /> apartment in the house. Ms. McMullen said that the Health Department has been in numerous times over the <br /> years and she was told she was "grand-fathered". However,Richard Stevens informed her she had to appear <br /> before this Committee and also ZBA for a Special Permit. Richard Stevens had told her she needed a window <br /> for the occupants to exit in emergency; and she has installed the window. Richard Stevens informed the <br /> Committee that the Board of Health gave their okay. Joel Clifford advised they did inspect the smoke alarm <br /> and Sheldon said it has the Fire Department okay as well. Catherine Laurent questioned the parking and <br /> determined they met the requirement re parking. <br /> Conclusion: Stamped approved. Next step is for applicant to go to the ZBA for Special Permit. Also she <br /> was told that she is required to report annually to the Building Department to notify who resides there. <br /> South Cape Village <br /> Modification of Special Permit Decision <br /> Indoor Recreation Facilities in C-1 Zone <br /> Ap lip cant—Don Megathlin and Melinda Gallant <br /> Don Megathlin and Melinda Gallant appeared. Mr. Megathlin addressed the Committee saying they were <br /> applying for a text change to their Special Permit. He said that in 2001 they requested all uses in the C-1 Zone, <br /> but the Planning Board deleted 2 of the uses—one of which was recreation use. Mr. Megathlin said that what <br /> they are requesting to do is to include recreation facility in the text--specifically, indoor gym and health club. <br /> He said the Board of Health is okay with this. Mr. Megathlin said they have no specific use at South Cape <br /> Village now, but hope to in the future. They are going to the Planning Board next Wednesday night with this <br /> request. <br /> Conclusion.: Okay, but this is under Planning Board authority. <br /> Approval of Minutes...The Minutes of May 22, 2008 were approved as amended <br />
