Personnel Board <br /> Minutes of June 14, .1982 Page 2 <br /> • Town Physician Recommendati8n <br /> Since our last meeting, Bob was going to check into recommending a physician from <br /> Mashpee. To date, the matter is still pending. <br /> Physician <br /> The. Personnel Board, at their meeting of May 24, voted to reimburse Gerald Umina for <br /> his physical upon receipt of proof of payment. Since that time, Mr. Umina supplied <br /> the Board with a note from Dr. Lewis showing that $50 was paid on account for the <br /> physical given to Mr. Umina on January 28. A copy of the physical report was also <br /> received. The Board, voted unanimously, to reimburse Mr. Umina only up to the amount <br /> of $35, as that is the amount that Dr. Lewis charges the town for employee physicals. <br /> Also, a note from Dr. Lewis was reviewed by the Board amending the report of the April <br /> . physical given to Fred Peters. <br /> Richard Martini. Injury <br /> In reply to the Personnel Board's memo of June 9, Chief Mills advises the Board that <br /> Mr. Martini suffered a knee .injury that involved the ligaments, thus an undetermined <br /> amount'of time for recovery. <br /> ARpointment of Acti22 Su . of Streets <br /> The Personnel Board is advised, by way of a memo dated June 10 from the Executive <br /> Secretary, that the Board of Selectmen voted' to appoint Burley Green as Acting Super- <br /> intendent of Streets. <br /> Reply from Atty. Reardon - re: Vacation Time <br /> Atty. Reardon's interpretation of the language-of Article XI, Section 7, Vacations, of <br /> the P.A.P. was reviewed in his letter dated June 7. <br /> Appointments <br /> Town Counsel has advised the-. Board of Selectmen that the procedure of re-appointing <br /> employees who are represented by unions is not necessary. (refer to Executive Secretary's <br /> letter of June 14) <br /> County Services <br /> Sel. Garland is requesting to be advised of the County' Services of various Departments <br /> no later than June 15. <br /> Bloodmobile <br /> The Board was advised that a 'Bloodmobile will be in Mashpee on Monday, June 21, from <br /> 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. <br /> Charter Commission <br /> On June 8, the Charter Commission unanimously voted to recommend that Barbara Horton <br /> be hired as their Board Secretary, effective as of June 15. The Personnel Board concurred. <br /> Temporary Hire <br /> The Personnel Board approved the hiring of Nancy Ross to work as a temporary clerk at <br /> the Highway Department during'-the weeks of June 14 and June 21 as well as the weeks of <br /> July 12 through July 30 while Helen Kondochriste is on vacation. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for June 21. <br /> Respectfully' submitted, <br /> mf Marilyn Farr n, Personnel Secretary <br />
