PERSONNEL BOARD MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 7 , 1988 MASHPEE TOWN HALL The following members of the Personnel Board were present for tonight ' s meeting : Acting Chairman C . Ben Lofchie , Manuel Glickman , Leo Turo and Edward Baker , Acting Chairman Lofchie convened the meeting at 6 : 30 p .m . Interviews for Temp . Help . - Accounting_ , The Personnel Board , along with the assistance of the Town Accountant , Diane Rommelmeyer , interviewed two applicants for the position of part- time Senior Clerk to the Accounting office . The candidates interviewed were: Carol Moreau and Carol Noonan . Both candidates were given a copy of the job description , advised of the rate of pay and hours of the job . The Board .reviewed the qualifications with each candidate and looked for areas of expertise in the accounting field , knowledge of computers and calculators . Both candidates were given a typing test prior to the interview . Upon conclusion of the interview , the Board asked the Town Accountant for her recommendations . The Board then voted unanimously for Carol Moreau as their first choice and Carol Noonan as their second choice _ A background check will be conducted on Carol Moreau . Request to Interview Candidates for Town Planner Assistant The Board discussed a request from the Town Planner to interview candidates for the Assistant Planner position on November 14 with the possibility of . one additional night . Due to the heavy workload of the Personnel Department , the board asked that the Town Planner be advised that they will interview as many as nine candidates on the evening of November 14 and that they would start their meeting at 5 : 30 p .m . Review of Applications - Asst . Bd . of Health and Asst . Town Accountant . Ed Baker , the liaison to the Accounting Department , asked that Diane Rommelmeyer review the applications for theAsst . Town Accountant position first . Ed will review them after that . It was noted that over 70 appli- cations were received for this position . The Board scheduled November .21 to interview candidates for the position of Asst . Town Accountant . Ben Lofchie was assigned to review the Asst . Health Inspector applications during the week . Board of Health liaison George Costa will be contacted to review the applications . Candidates will be interviewed for this posi- tion on November 30 . Test List for Police Officer Candidates - Response from Deputy Chief The Board reviewed the response from the. Deputy Police Chief relative to the test list and eligibility of candidates . The Deputy has stated in his memo that six candidates are eligible to be interviewed . The Board reviewed the reasons why the other candidates are not eligible as noted on each file . The board will conduct the Police Officer interviews on December 5 .
