x -2 <br /> r <br /> Personnel Board Meeting <br /> Minutes of November 7 , 1988 <br /> Percentage on Entry-Level Police Exam <br /> The Board reviewed information from IPMA relative to research on . the <br /> percentage rate established as a passing score for entry-level police <br /> exams . After their review; the Board agreed to increase the passing <br /> grade from 70% to 75% as recommended by the Deputy Police Chief . <br /> Age Requirements on Entry-Level Police Position <br /> After discussing the recommendations of the Deputy Police Chief to set <br /> an age cut-off on the upper age limit and review of the recommendations <br /> of the testing company , Ed Baker moved not to recommend.'th t an" <br /> upper-age limit requirement be set . Leo Turo seconded . All in ,favor . <br /> Cost of Living Increase <br /> The Board reviewed a memo dated November 3 from the Executive Secretary <br /> relative to making a recommendation to the Selectmen in terms of a cost <br /> of living increase for Personnel Administration Plan employees . <br /> The Board requested that Joe Murphy be asked to attend their next meeting <br /> to advise them what the union impacts are . <br /> Temporary Help - Treasurer ' s Office <br /> The Board discussed the temporary hire .requested for the Treasurer ' s Office . <br /> In light of the fact that there is just one applicant for the position , the <br /> Board agreed to let Anne Shaw screen the application provided that she use <br /> standards as set by the Personnel Board . Leo moved the motion . Ed seconded . <br /> All were in agreement . <br /> Recommendations by W . Rubin for Parks and Rec . Dept . <br /> The Board received a letter dated November 14 from Wendy Rubin to Joe <br /> Murphy relative to programs for the Park and Recreation Department . They <br /> asked that it be filed for future reference . <br /> Street Number <br /> The Board reviewed a memo dated November 4 from the Executive Secretary ad- <br /> vising all departments to use the designated number for the town hall build- <br /> ing on all communications which is 16 Great Neck Rd . North . <br /> Employee of the Month Program <br /> At the request of Chairman Sullivan , the Board was asked to review the <br /> proposed- employee of the month program .
