Per<sonnel Board <br /> Minutes of July 31 , 1989 page 2 <br /> Memo from Library Trustees <br /> The Board reviewed a memo dated July 24 from Toni Robertson , Board of <br /> Library Trustees .' She is requesting that the Personnel Bd . advertise <br /> fo.r the posi-tion af� Library Director as ,the Librarian , Diane Kingsley , <br /> has accepted a position at the new elementary school . She also re- <br /> quested that the Board ' s liaison contact them for review of the appli- <br /> cations and to sit in on the"interview process . Personnel Board member , <br /> .Jane Stockbridge , was apprised of this and has met with Mrs-..' Robert:s, <br /> Chairman of the Library Trustees and will mee.t with the Trustees . <br /> Memo from Diane Kingsley re : Sick Bank- , t <br /> The Board reviewed a memo from Diane Kingsley advising them that she <br /> would like to -contribute her accumulated sick leave into the Town ' s <br /> Sick Bank. Manuel Glickman asked that a note be . sent to Mrs _ Kingsley <br /> in 'admiration of her donation . C . Ben Lofchie moved to accept Diane <br /> Kingsley ' s sick leave into the P .A .P .. Sick Bank and to send her a note <br /> of appreciation . Manuel Glickman seconded . All in favor . <br /> Town Engineer Position <br /> The Board reviewed a letter dated July 18 advising them that the Board <br /> of Selectmen did not wish to readvertise the position of Town Engineer <br /> at the present grade . They intend to seek reclassification of the posi- <br /> tion at the November special and then would like to readvertise the <br /> position in late winter with plans of having someone on board by next <br /> Spring . <br /> Request to Meet With Personnel Board - George Costa <br /> The Board was advised. by the Personnel Assistant that the Chairman of <br /> the Board of Health wished to meet with them at their next meeting to <br /> discuss increasing the hours of their part-time help . The Board asked <br /> the Assistant to schedule Chairman Costa for their next meeting . <br /> Unfinished Business <br /> Manuel Glickman asked the Assistant what was happening with unfinished <br /> business.. The assistant responded that some things would be on next <br /> week ' s agenda due to the fact that there was a large agenda for tonight ' s <br /> meeting . The Board members were advised that the Police Chief , Fire <br /> Chief and D .P .W. Director were invited to next week ' s meeting to follow <br /> up on employee physicals . <br /> Manny Glickman asked that a copy of the new Personnel Administration Plan <br /> be sent to him so that he may start his review o-f what benefits could be <br /> granted to our part-time employees who work less than 20 hrs . <br /> Interviews of the Director of Leisure , Recreation and Education Services <br /> The Board , along with Selectman Carter and James Vaccaro , the liaison of <br /> the Finance .Committee , interviewed candidates for the position of Director <br /> of Leisure , Recreation and Education Services . <br /> Candidates interviewed were : Jeffrey Wakefield , Gail Kolbe , Dean Driscoll <br /> Michael Coronella , and Cornelius Hickey . Three other applicants who were <br /> scheduled to be interviewed withdrew their applications and two candidates <br /> failed to return our telephone calls . <br />
