Changes were made to the contract. Mr.
Fudala and Don Desmarais were concerned as changes were made after contract was signed.
Commissioner Fudala and Mr. Desmarais discussed changes to the contract: The original
completion was scheduled for March 31, 2009, and was changed to June 30, 2010,
approximately a year and a quarter later than what they had signed. Completion of Waquoit
Bay is contingent upon receipt of matching funds from the Mass DEP. Further, Mr. Fudala
requested five printed copies and one electronic copy of the report. The amount of the copies
was changed to two, as was the request for 10 copies of the map. Mr. Fudala wanted original
copies for each Commission member, but will accept the electronic copy. FinCom had not yet made a decision on whether to support Article 11,which covers
unexpected costs. Account still has Twenty Two Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Nine
($22,589.00)Dollars and 001100 remaining in it, which must cover the supplemental contract
which was signed, cover 2,000.00 owed to Mr. Lombardo, $8,000.00 for an archeologist, and
$10,000.00 proposal for scenario work. The main first hurdle is to get this done at Town
Meeting. Main contract does not need to be renewed.
$3.00 to cover the cost of the dues increase. Not certain how the extra coverage will be
made at this time. Commissioner Fudala did not receive support for this request.
1
