Mr.Desmarais made a motion to nominate Mr.Berelli as ClerL Chairman Fudala seconded the <br /> motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES <br /> Mr. Desmarais made a motion to accept the minutes of Apri121st. Chairman Fudala seconded <br /> the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Chairman Fudala noted the inter-municipal cooperative effort of wastewater treatment in Orleans, <br /> Brewster and Eastham. Orleans has decided to replace the facility with a new sewerage and septic <br /> plant, without including Brewster and Eastham prior to the 2015 expiration date. <br /> Tom O'Neill introduced himself as a temporary representative to the Sewer Commission from the <br /> Mashpee Chamber of Commerce. <br /> Chairman Fudala announced the Commission's consistent goal to provide nitrogen removal systems as <br /> cost effectively as possible and in consideration of all possible alternatives. SMaST will attend the <br /> next meeting with results of the study which will allow the Commission to identify the best possible <br /> option for Mashpee. <br /> Regarding Mashpee Water District, Selectman Cahalan questioned the amount of savings if the <br /> Mashpee Water District took over the construction and operation of the sewer system. Chairman <br /> Fudala reported that savings would range in the amount of$450,000 to $850,000 per year. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mr. Desmarais.
