GrSTCom
Page 3.
Brian Barber said some local home developers in other places have responded by cutting
back voluntarily. Dave Hardy suggested waiting until the next formal meeting to con—
tinue this discussion. It was agreed that would be on Tuesday, September 20, at 7:30.
Janice Mills asked if the committee would be getting into C2 zoning first? She asked if
Historic District zoning could be considered, too? Jean Thomas saw no reason why the
agenda could not be amended to include that. Ch. Terry warned that the committee can't
go off in too many different directions. Janice said we now have the Village Center, she
feels the committee should move to other areas of town. David Hardy felt a meeting was
needed to set the goals for the year. Brian Barber suggested dealing with limits of C2
all overrtown.
Chm. Terry agreed — asking do we want to expand C2, limit C2, or leave it as it is? He
said all members should come to the next meeting with ideas. There must be a thread of
rationality. The original concept of C2 was for neigh—
borhood shopping. The major commercial district was to be Cl. He said the town could be
overzoned for C2 already.
It was time to go before the Planning Board, so the group disbanded — with Chm. Terry,
Jean Thomas and David Hardy going to that meeting.
Respectfully submitted,
Grace Erdman
Secretary
