Notwithstanding the applicable provisions of the Massa- <br /> chusetts Uniform Building Code in all mobile homes to <br /> be placed within Zones Al-30, but not into a mobile <br /> home . <br /> park or mobil h - <br /> e home sub-division:b division <br /> 1. Lots must be elevated on compacted fill or on pilings <br /> so that the lowest floor of the mobile home will be at <br /> or above the base flood level. <br /> i <br /> 2. Adequate surface drainage and access for a hauler <br /> must be provided. <br /> 3. In the instance of elevation on pilings, lots must be <br /> large enough to permit steps, piling foundations must <br /> be placed in stable soil no more than 10 feet apart, <br /> and reinforcement must be provided for piers more <br /> than 6 feet above ground level. <br /> 9. The Zoning Board of Appeals may grant a Special Permit <br /> for the reconstruction, rehabilitation or restoration of <br /> structures listed on the National Register of Historic <br /> Places or the State Inventory of Historic Places, without <br /> regard to the procedures set forth in Section 4 above. <br /> 10. Where these flood area provisions impose greater or lesser <br /> restrictions or requirements than those of other applica- <br /> ble by-laws or regulations, the more restrictive shall <br /> apply. <br /> SECTION 12: <br /> APPEALS AND BOARD OF APPEALS <br />=w 12.1 There shall be a Board of Appeals as provided for by <br /> the Massachusetts General Laws consisting of three <br /> members. The Board of Selectmen shall appoint the <br /> members annually to a term commencing July 1st. <br /> The members shall be appointed for a term of three <br /> years with the term of one member to expire each <br /> year. The Board of Selectmen may appoint up to six <br /> associate members for similar terms in the same man- <br /> ner. Vacancies shall be filled for unexpired terms in <br /> the same manner as in case of original appointments. <br /> 48 <br />
