fr <br /> ing:by the procedure herein provided when they are approved <br /> to be the equal of those specifically required by this code; <br /> or he shall adopt the recommendations promulgated by the <br /> Board of Standards in the Massachusetts Department of <br /> Public Safety. <br /> Section S. Sewage. A cesspool or other means of sewage <br /> ,disposal may be constructed only after a permit is secured <br /> from the Building Inspector, subject to the rules of the <br /> Board of Health. h <br /> Section 6. Enforcement. I' <br /> Para. 1. This code shall be administered by the Building <br /> Inspector. <br /> Para. 2. Stop Work Order: Whenever the provisions of <br /> this code or the plans and specifications approved there- <br /> under are not complied with, a stop work order shall be <br /> served on the owner or his representative by the Building <br /> Inspector or his employee, and a copy thereof may be posted <br /> at the site of the construction. Such stop work order shall <br /> not be removed except by written notice of the Building In- <br /> spector after satisfactory evidence has been supplied that <br /> the violation has been corrected. Failure to comply with <br /> such stop work order shall constitute a violation of this code. C <br /> Section 7. Board of Appeals. <br /> Para. 1. A Board of Appeals shall be appointed by the ' <br /> j Selectmen to consist of three members. All members shall <br /> be residents of the Town of Mashpee and shall not be active- <br /> ly engaged in the building trades. The 'appointments first <br /> made shall be for the term of three years. Vacancies shall <br /> be filled by the Board of Selectmen for the unexpired term. r` <br /> No member shall act in any case in which he feels he is <br /> disqualified, in which case the remaining members shall <br /> designate ,a substitute. Every decision of the Board shall be 3 <br /> in writing, and shall require the -assent -of at least two mem- <br /> bers and shall be a matter of public record. <br /> Para. 2. Any person aggrieved by'a refusal of the Build- <br /> ing Inspector to issue a permit, or by a decision of the Build- <br /> ing Inspector made under the provisions of this code, may <br /> appeal to the Board of Appeals. The Board of Appeals shall <br /> hold a public hearing thereon and render a decision. They <br /> shall make rules for such hearings, and publish notice <br /> thereof. u <br /> C" <br /> Section 8. Penalty. Any person or persons violating any <br /> provisions of this code who do not within a reasonable time <br /> rectify such violation shall be fined not more than twenty <br /> dollars for each offense.
