Commission changes to the Regional Policy Plan. He stated the Planning Board <br /> specifically is required to conduct another Public Hearing at which time the Planning <br /> Board will decide the Vision Map. <br /> The Board decided to invite representatives from the Cape Cod Commission to <br /> the June 17t'Planning Board Meeting in order to explain the implications with regard to <br /> mitigations and designations on the Vision Map. The Board of Selectmen should also be <br /> invited; the Public Hearing could be scheduled thereafter. There was some discussion <br /> about providing information through the newspaper in order to better inform members of <br /> the public. <br /> Potential October Zoning Articles <br /> Contractor/Contractor Yard/Contractor Bay— Specifically defines a contractor <br /> yard, as well as create a definition of contractor bay. Contractor has also been defined as <br /> "A person or entity that agrees and becomes obligated to furnish materials or professional <br /> services for a price. Contractors are those subject to the Home Improvement Contractor's <br /> Law, G.L. C.142A or those that maintain a business certificate filed with the Town <br /> Clerk." <br /> The Board agreed that the Special Permits should be granted by the Planning <br /> Board. <br /> The following language was amended to read: "(13) Contractor Yard Subject to <br /> approval of the Special Permit by the Planning Board." <br /> The Town Planner will review General Laws C.142A regarding business <br /> certificates to be filed with the Town Clerk, and report to the Board at the next meeting. <br /> Parking Issues—The Town Planner provided copies of the existing Parking <br /> Bylaw with reference to required number of spaces. The amended language reads as <br /> follows: "Parking in excess of these requirements shall be prohibited unless specific <br /> evidence justifying additional parking is provided and the permitting authority approves <br /> such excess parking." <br /> Parking Lot Design—"Unless alternate paving is approved by the permitting <br /> authority... The last sentence now reads: "Where additional overflow parking areas <br /> area proposed, the base shall be constructed as above,but alternate materials or grass may <br /> be used as a finished surface if approved by the permitting authority." <br /> Allowed uses in Industrial Zones—The I.C. Overlay District is that portion of the <br /> Industrial Zone along Commercial Street, as well as the Augat property. <br /> The proposed Zoning amendment would prove to delete the I.C. Overlay District; <br /> the section referring to extra allowed uses in Industrial Zones would remain, subject to <br /> approval by the Planning Board. <br /> 3 <br />
