07
Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission
sw
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, MA 02649
appropriate equipment needed for the well monitoring testing that the Town will need to conduct on a
regular basis. In addition, creating the policies and procedures, as well as the notice to connect packets
that will be sent to homeowners at the appropriate time. He simply stated that there are a lot of
moving parts to this project and the Department is working diligently in getting these tasks completed,
but noted there often isn't enough hours in the day to get everything done. Ms. Castaneda offered her
assistance with anything she could do to help (i.e.,writing, editing, etc.). Mr.Towle noted that the
Commissioners are receiving a lot of questions on beginning the application process and asked about
the timing of the notices. Mr. Meader stated that Asher's Path Apartments will be the first to connect,
but the remainder will be in a phased approach. Likely the condos will be next before the homeowners
get their packet. Ms.Tripp reported that the clearwater test will begin approximately April 30, 2025,
but depending on the arrival of the MCCs, homeowners should be prepared for sometime in the spring
of 2025. Once the clearwater test is complete then the Town is ready to go. Mr. Meader stated that
training has already begun at the pump stations. Mr. Lyons said that the Town needs to keep a
chronology of all the testing with what's happening in the water, so that we can show results and good
documentation. Ms. Fisher stated that this data is already completed and could be loaded to the
website. She further stated that these reports show the results and that the data goes back to 2003.
She stated that there are annual reports since 2010 that are shared with the State. The Chair suggested
that Ms. Fisher and Ms. Castaneda work together to show the water areas and the impacts of the
collection system to better show the data and that this needs to be presented in a way that the lay
person can understand the data.
Website
There was no update on the website, but that the engineer reports would continue to be uploaded to
the website and that the Commissioners would be notified when the engineer updates were uploaded.
There was general discussion on the permit process. Mr. Meader stated that it would be completed via
an automated software, PermitEyes. He stated that this is essential as the connections will need to go
through the inspection process, as well.
Adiournment
Motion made by Mr.Towle to adjourn at 2:57 p.m. Motion seconded by Ms. Castaneda. Motion
passed by unanimous vote.
Respectfully submitted,
U
Karyn E.
