BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> MEMO <br /> TO: Growth Review Committee <br /> FROM: Board of Selectmen <br /> DATE: August 3 , 1983 <br /> RE: Phase II responsibilities <br /> As the Growth Review Committee enters Phase II of its <br /> examination of the zoning and the impact of development in <br /> Mashpee, the Board of Selectmen asks the Committee to con- <br /> centrate its efforts in the next year on the following goals: <br /> 1. Review existing and potential commercial districts <br /> outside the village center and make appropriate recommenda- <br /> tions for 1984 annual town meeting. <br /> 2. Examine zoning around John's , Mashpee, Wakeby, <br /> Ashumet and Santuit Ponds and make recommendations with <br /> regard to density and its impact upon the water recharge <br /> areas and ponds to the 1984 annual town meeting. <br /> As goals for future activities, the Committee is asked <br /> to look at the following areas : <br /> 1. Review existing and potential industrial zones . <br /> 2. Make appropriate recommendations with regard to <br /> the financial and environmental impact of residential de-. <br /> velopment. <br /> It is recognized that the Growth Review Committee will <br /> work with, but not usurp, those town committees with spe- <br /> cific responsibilities in areas under review, such as the <br /> water Quality Committee, Board- of Health and Planning Board. <br /> JFM/mmcg <br />
