Article 66 : <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Law by <br /> re-designating a portion of the I-1 Zoning District (Lot 51 on <br /> Assessors Map 54) as C-2 Zoning District as appears on a map entitled <br /> "Proposed change to C-2 of Zoning Map for action, May 4, 1987, a copy <br /> of which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk . <br /> Motion to accept as printed. . .motion carries YES 19O. . . .11O 2. . . . 9 . . . 4. .8:08 P.N. <br /> Town Planner advised the hearing was held 4-0 in favor. This is a "house-clean- <br /> ing article" <br /> Article 67 : <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize and direct the Board of <br /> Selectmen to acquire by purchase or by eminent domain for conservation <br /> purposes all, or a major portion of a parcel of land of 21.3 acres, <br /> generally described as on the west side of the Mashpee River between <br /> said river and River Road and more specifically described as all lots <br /> and roadways described on a subdivision plan entitled "River Ridge <br /> North, Plan of Land in Mashpee, Mass. for River Ridge Trust" dated <br /> July 25, 1986 and recorded at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds <br /> in Plan Book 423, Page 84, as well as lots 1, 2, and 3, River Road and <br /> Ridge Road as described on a subdivision plan entitled "River Ridge <br /> South, Plan of Land in Mashpee, Mass . for River Ridge Trust" dated <br /> July 25, 1986 and recorded at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds <br /> in Plan Book 423, Page 85, copies of which are on file in the Town <br /> Clerk 's office, the said land to be held in the care and custody of <br /> the Conservation Commission, pursuant to General Laws Chapter 40, <br /> Section 8C; further, to see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum <br /> of money for such purpose, including expenses incidental and related <br /> thereto, and to raise such appropriation, the Treasurer, with the <br /> approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow a sum of money <br /> under and pursuant to Chaptei =:t, Section 7 (3) , and, if applicable-, <br /> Section 8C, of the General Laws, or any other enabling authority, and <br /> to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor with said bonding <br /> authorization contingent upon passage of a referendum to exclude the <br /> principal and interest on such debt from the tax levy limitation <br /> imposed by Chapter 59, Section 21C of the General Laws (so-called <br /> Proposition 2 1/2) ; and further, to see if the Town will vote to raise <br /> and appropriate or transfer from available funds a sum of money to the <br /> Interest on Temporary Loans Account and a sum of money to the Issuance <br /> of Debt Account; further, to see if the Town will authorize the Board <br /> of Selectmen and/or Conservation Commission to apply for and accept <br /> Federal and/or State grants, including reimbursement under Chapter <br /> 132A, Section 11 of the General Laws, to be applied by the Town <br /> toward the financing of this purchase, and to enter into contracts and <br /> agreements with Federal and/or State agencies, private conservation <br /> trusts, or other entities or persons in connection with the purchase <br /> and preservation for conservation purposes of all or a major portion <br /> of such land; and finally, to see if the Town will authorize the <br /> Conservation Commission and the Board of Selectmen to enter into <br /> agreements and execute any and all instruments as may be necessary on <br /> behalf of the Town to effectuate said purchase; <br /> -64- <br />
