Ms. Costello said it <br /> was Appendix D. Mr. Morris said that these solar projects are encouraged. Mr. Morris asked <br /> if the roof top panel kilowatts are combined with the battery storage unit. Ms. Costello said <br /> no, theyare separate. Mr. Morris asked if the roof top powerwill be connected directlyto the <br /> grid or will it be produced by the battery. Mr. Serber said that the power will be discharged <br /> from the battery. If there is too much powerto the grid, Eversourcewill provide that information <br /> and discharge the battery to prevent overages. Mr. Serber said that a certain percentage of <br /> the powerwill provide for residences. Mr. Serber said that the roof tops are being leased. <br /> Mr. Furbush wanted to confirm that Mr. Serber worked for NextGrid, and not a subsidiary of <br /> NextGrid. He also asked where the battery storage unitwill be located. Ms. Costello said it <br /> will be located on the left side the office building. Mr. Furbush asked if there is a setback <br /> requirementforthe battery storage unitto the office building.Healso mentioned thatthe office <br /> building provided housing forth employees. He knew thatpeople were living there 20 years <br /> ago, but not certain if that was true today. <br /> Ms. Costello mentioned thatthe battery storage unitwill be 20 ft. from the office building.The <br /> unitwill be bu i It u n der th e electrical standards. <br /> Mr. Morris asked if there is one battery storage unit,or two invertors. Ms. Costello said that <br /> there is one battery unit that includes the accessories equipment for the battery backup. <br /> Mr. Furbush asked if there is a size limit of storage being close to a residence. Mr. Serber <br /> said that undertheenergycode, the unithasto be at least 10 ft. away from any building. Mr. <br /> Furbush asked if there is a limitto the size of the battery unit.Mr. Serberwill have to research <br /> the regulations. <br /> Ms. Szarlan had no questions. <br /> Mr. Morris asked for a motion. <br /> Mr. Furbush noted the purview listed underthe Design Review Committee is to advise the <br /> Building Commissioner regarding site planning, building placement, building size, <br /> landscaping, exterior appearance, construction materials, parking and road ways, exit and <br /> entrance placement and signage. <br /> Mr. Morris said that he wants to confirm that the 20 ft. setback is correct, and will need to <br /> research the battery storage size limits, if there's an increase proposed, and is there is a <br /> setback measurement limit from a residential structure. <br /> 2 <br />
