The website is coming along nicely since the Library Director has connected with
the design company. All minor changes were made and looking at a bigger refresh.
Some of the standard updates include enhancements to accessibility. With the click
of a button text size can change and there will be a translation feature.
The light fixtures in the entryway lobby may be replaced soon as they're antiquated
and it has been difficult finding replacement parts.
POLICY UPDATES
Borrowing Agreements for the Wifi Hotspot
This policy was updated to make the borrowing process efficient and equitable and
to create accurate inventory of hotspots.
In discussion about the policies, questions arose. The Library Director will check
with CLAMS about the possibility of automating the system to include replacement
and damage fees on certain higher cost items.
MOTION:
Ruth Nickerson made a motion to approve the revisions made in red to
the Borrowing Agreements for the Wifi Hotspot Policy. Seconded by Ann
Macdonald.
Roll Call Vote:
Ann Macdonald — Yes Ruth Nickerson — Yes
Sandi Lahart — Yes Beth Geatrakas — Yes
Mary LeClair — Yes Kate Milde — Yes
Borrowing Agreements for Backpacks Policy
The Children's Room backpack policy was modeled off the STEM kits policy. The
overdue fine of $1 .00 per day was eliminated, these go home with toddlers, and the
goal is more accessibility. There is a limit of three per household at one time.
Kate Milde suggested providing an incentive like collecting a sticker once the child
returns the backpack, it might help with timely returns.
MOTION:
Ruth Nickerson made a motion to accept the Borrowing Agreement for
Backpacks Policy. Seconded by Mary LeClair.
2
