Town of Mashpee Planning Board
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649
Ms. Waygan would like to add a minor modification to the plan. The Landscaping Plan needs
to be redlined and marked up, with what’s not going to be done. The Planning Board is fine
with these elements not being installed.

The owner planted significant trees behind the fence for the bylaw, and you are allowed to
replant on abutting properties. He is still required to have his engineer show the other trees as
offset he already planted. A statement can be added about not moving the fence, trees in area
behind Lot 1 shall remain, modify Special Permit and Landscaping Plan on subdivision.

MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion to approve a minor modification to the Special Permit
and add changes to the Landscaping Plan. Seconded by Mr. Richardson. All in
favor.

TOWN PLANNER REPORT
The Department is getting ready to post the most recent HPP and initiate the Public Comment
period. Residents near 209 Old Barnstable Road came into the Planning Department to share
informal opinions. They are requesting the 30-day comment period.

Ms. Waygan stated the website houses Public Comments submitted for Quashnet Valley from
the first version of the HPP. This property can get added to the town list of affordable sites, it
doesn’t mean we have to put a project there. It is owned by the Affordable Housing Trust and
doesn’t necessarily have to be a large multi-unit as originally proposed.

BOARD MEMBER COMMITTEE REPORTS
Cape Cod Commission- No Report
Charter Review Committee - No Report
Community Preservation
Committee- Place holder application, more to come.
Design Review- No Meeting
Plan Review- No Meeting
Environmental Oversight
Committee- No Meeting
Historic District Commission- No Meeting

ADJOURNMENT
MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion to adjourn the meeting of the Planning Board at
8:29PM. Seconded by Mr. Richardson. All in favor.

6
