Unanimous <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Selectwoman Sherman-yes Selectman Weeden-yes <br />Selectwoman Wyman-Colombo-yes Selectman Cotton-yes <br />Selectman O’Hara-yes <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Private to Public Road Conversion of Godfrey Road & Barbary Circle <br />The Select Board opened the Public Hearing by reading aloud the notice regarding the proposed <br />conversion of Godfrey Road and Barbary Circle from private to public roads as shown on the plans <br />entitled “Road Taking Plan Godfrey Road & Barbary Circle” dated February 25, 2025, and prepared by <br />Cape and Islands Engineering. <br />Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works, was in attendance to answer any questions. <br />Kevin Donovan, 21 Barbary Circle, questioned plan specifics, timeline, betterment charges, road layout <br />changes, and potential impacts on property. In response, it was stated that, if approved, construction <br />could begin sometime between Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. It was also stated that betterment charges <br />will be assessed over 20 years, with flexibility for property owners to pay off early. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to close the public hearing. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O’Hara. <br />Vote 5-0.
