<br /> Representative: John Gorin <br /> <br />Permitting Application Overview <br /> Application specifically for proposed maintenance of existing waterfront structures, not <br />new construction <br /> <br />Pier History & Storm Damage <br /> The original pier suffered storm damage 13-14 years ago and had to be completely <br />replaced <br /> The replacement pier has been in place for 13-14 years, with no current work being <br />performed <br /> Original pier construction pre-1980 when waterway development occurred <br /> <br />Technical Specifications & Compliance <br /> Replacement included installation of two standard typical length piles (13 inches) to <br />replace original inadequate 2-3 inch piles <br /> Float dimensions confirmed as 8x20.5 sqft, meeting Regulation 27 sqft requirements <br /> Pier system matches existing waterway license specifications exactly <br /> <br />Regulatory Status and Motion <br /> Property received a state waterway license in the 1990s but never appeared before the <br />local commission <br /> No mitigation fee required as the shellfish department determined the area unsuitable for <br />shellfish <br /> Mr. Cook made a motion for a negative determination, which Ms. Zollo seconded <br /> Vote: Mr. Cook (Yes), Ms. Zollo (Yes), Ms. Clapprood (Yes), Ms. Godfrey (Yes), Mr. <br />Colombo (Yes) <br /> Motion passed unanimously <br /> <br /> Agent <br /> No work proposed, just getting the dock footprint on record with the town <br /> <br /> Board of Health: No work habitable space, no comment <br /> <br /> Harbormaster: Regarding this RDA, I have no navigational or abutting concerns with <br />the proposed maintenance of the existing pier, ramp, and float. <br /> <br /> Shellfish: Having reviewed the RDS for maintenance of an existing float, pilings, and <br />ramp within the coastal resource area (310-CMR 10-25-10-35), according to Mass <br />mappers, there is no standing stock of shellfish species.
