He emphasized that infrastructure of this nature should be located in a commercial <br />area, not near homes. <br />ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br />LIAISON REPORTS <br />Selectman Co?on reported that the “Raise the Roof” event hosted by the Boys and Girls Club <br />was a great success, bringing the organiza?on closer to reaching its fundraising goals. <br />WATER QUALITY UPDATES <br />Selectman Cotton inquired about the status of the wastewater treatment center. <br />Town Manager Rodney Collins responded that the facility is technically online. While the <br />plant is not yet fully operational, wastewater is currently being processed. <br /> Selectman Cotton asked whether Phase 1 residents would be receiving a second <br />letter indicating it is time to connect. Assistant Town Manager Wayne Taylor stated there <br />was no current update but confirmed he would follow up to obtain the information. <br />Collins recommended having the Wastewater Superintendent present at a future <br />meeting to provide a full update. Selectman Cotton noted that the first letter sent to <br />residents may have contained errors and emphasized the importance of ensuring accurate <br />communication to avoid any future confusion or setbacks. <br />TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br /> Status of 0 Gunters Lane <br />Town Manager Rodney Collins referenced a memorandum from November 2024 by, <br />the Wastewater Superintendent, which provided a detailed opinion that the site would be <br />an appropriate location for the proposed facility. <br />Collins also noted a July 2025 report from the Conservation Agent, which included a <br />color-coded town map and parcel key used to identify various open space areas in town. <br />The Notre Dame parcel (CC41), located just north of Wakeby Pond, was highlighted, with 0 <br />Gunters Lane adjacent to it, indicated by a yellow highlight on the map. The parcel at 0 <br />Gunters Lane has no o?icial lane signage. <br />Collins acknowledged the concerns expressed by residents and emphasized that <br />the town is taking the matter seriously. He stated that legal counsel is conducting thorough <br />research of registry records to clarify the status of the parcel, which is expected to take <br />approximately 10 to 14 days. <br /> <br />
