The Board welcomed
William Russell, representing Cape Pickle LLC, d/b/a Island Pickle, to present an
application for an Annual Weekday Entertainment License, including Saturdays, permitting
afternoon and evening indoor entertainment. Russell clarified that the request includes
permission to stream audio and video (e.g., television and music) during all hours of
operation, with live indoor entertainment limited to the afternoon and evening. He
emphasized that no outdoor entertainment is proposed and that the facility is a fully
enclosed, steel-constructed building with no windows, located at the end of an industrial
park with no nearby residential homes.
Board members raised concerns about the clarity of the application, particularly
regarding hours of operation, the scope of the entertainment, and the potential for
amplified sound to be projected outside.
Selectman Weeden expressed a preference for more specific language to ensure
consistency with other licenses and to address potential noise impacts. It was further
confirmed that any future complaints or requests to modify the license would be subject to
review by the Board.
With no public comments, the Select Board took the following action:
Motion made by Selectman Cotton to close the public hearing.
Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson.
Vote: 5-0. Unanimous
Roll Call Vote
