From her perspective, she is heartened
by the Town of Mashpee, and she sees hope. The work of organized committees and groups is
crucial for communities. When we have more diversity, it becomes more approachable, socially
accessible, increases innovations and creativity, along with strategic thinking. It fosters the
inclusion of new voices, engages marginalized communities, and becomes more welcoming.
She is heartened by the Select Board with differences represented through age, gender,
ethnicity, and education.
OLD BUSINESS
1
